Featuring our newest grape from the Okanagan, Viognier is known for its natural aromatic flavours such as honeysuckle, pineapple, and tangerine. The potential quality of the Viognier grape depends on a long and warm growing season, for the grape to mature to its full potential. The colouration of this Viognier is a pale straw yellow with subtle hints of light green. Try a bottle with baked brie, seafood, or fondue.
2017 was a great year for grapes in the Okanagan. The growing season was without abnormalities and the grapes produced had exceptional flavor and balanced tannins with nice natural acidity, and beautiful complexity.
The Viognier grape creates very flavorful wines that are rich and aromatic, distinctive peach, hints of floral details such as honeysuckle and tangerine are present when bottled. The wine pairs very nicely with a variety of seafood and shellfish, roasted and grilled chicken, veal, pork and spicy flavors associated with Asian cuisine. Viognier is also delicious with select salads and of course with soft and hard cheeses.
